The Philadelphia ramen scene is one of the best on the East Coast. Especially during cold winters in Philadelphia, ramen hits the spot.

Warm broth and noodles as spicy as you like it, ramen is one of the ultimate winter warm up foods. That’s why it was chosen as the first in our Philadelphia comfort food roundup. This series can be your guide to finding the best spots to get over the cold weather throughout Philadelphia this winter. Or maybe you just like ramen, and want to visit it throughout the year. We’re cool with either.

So whether it’s an empty stomach, a bad breakup, or a Netflix binge, comfort foods possess unique alchemical properties that ameliorate the situation.
