Hip Hop Class

This hip hop dance class, run by Sevon Wright, will provide an energetic environment for all ages. She attempts to open the minds and confidence of dancers in the class through her versatile movements. With a mix of old and new social dances, you’re bound to learn a new move or two. This class begins at 8 pm.

 

Roger Lee Dance Elements

This concert will present Roger Lee’s series Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. Each show will feature new choreography, live music, and a Q&A session. This is the first night of a two day event. This event is from 8 to 9:30 pm all weekend.

 

LUZCID and The Widdler

Luzcid and The Widdler pair up to bring EDM to Philly. Having already preformed in almost every major city in the US, they are ready to bring the best dub sounds to Philly this weekend. This event is free with RSVP before 11 pm.

 

AWFUL Wrestling

Get ready to laugh your socks off while local comedians, musicians, and artists take the ring. The event name says it all—prepare for some awful wrestling and a lot of laughs. This event is from 7 to 10 pm.

 

Yamaneika Saunders Comedy Show

Yamaneika Saunders, Comedy Central and The Tonight Show’s very own standup comedian, is bringing the laughter to Philly. There will be two incredible shows at 8:30 and 10 pm.

 

Saturday, 3.24

Yemima Standup: Anchor Baby

Yemima has a lot of experiences to tell and, in this show, she uses those experiences to provide a show that will reshape your view on the Middle East, the reproductive system, and the American Dream — talk about a weird mix up. This is the last night of this standup show and it will be running from 9 to 10 pm.

 

Art & Fashion Show

NUMiNOUSmag is releasing its Taboo issue and here’s a fashion show to celebrate it. Enjoy some drinks while you watch artists showcase their work and designers show off their latest designs. Music by Elijah Stephen Arms will be playing all night. This show is from 8 to 11 pm.

 

A Shameless Brunch

Gunners Run will be hosting a brunch full of beer, arcade games, TV, and pool for the last brunch of this three installment series. Live music and drink specials will be available to guests.

 

Family Cooking Class

June Jo Lee, author and ethnographer, will be joined by Clara Park, local chef, for a hands-on cooking class. This class will focus on making Korean-style beef and vegan tacos from scratch. Participants will enjoy taco and ramen recipes throughout the presentation. This event begins at 10 am.

 

Wine 101 Class

This class is led by Dolores Peralta, a food and wine educator of Wines Til Sold Out, will teach the fundamentals behind food and wine pairings. Learn how wines taste and how these wines affect the flavors of everyday foods. Participants will taste four wines. This class begins at 3 pm.

Philly Wine Week: Cheesesteaks and Wine?
