Get out of the heat from 5 to 8:45 pm at the PMA where there will be live music, DIY art, a chance to chat with the curator, unconventional gallery tours, in-gallery dance performances, and ritualistic healing all for your leisure.

If you’ve been keeping tabs on the moon cycle, you know a full moon is on its way. This yoga session corresponds with the full moon and will have Chandra Namaskars (Moon Salutations) at the core of its yin practice. Class runs 8:30 to 9:30 pm.

 

VCR Party

If you don’t know what a VCR is gtfo. From 8:30 to 10 pm, Joe Pickett (The Onion) and Nick Prueher (Late Show with David Letterman) will be hosting the Found Footage Festival full of VHS gold mine clips. The show was featured on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, so we know it’s good. Don’t forget to grab your tickets cause it’s probs going to sell out real quick.

Here’s another Harry Potter-themed night for ya’ll, and this time you really do have to get dressed up (don’t be a boring muggle). A night of dancing beneath floating candles, drinking butterbeer, taking prom pics, and competing for the best dressed wizard of the night awaits. Prom begins at 8 pm and your ticket gets you a free butterbeer!

Philly’s Folksong Society presents Mama’s Broke, a folk duo from Canada with some crazy banjo/fiddle/guitar/mandolin/foot percussion that’ll be blues, punk, Celtic, Balkan and doom metal all in one. This epic show runs 7:30 to 10:30 pm.

Shakespeare in the Park

Twelfth Night is a play about a woman who pretends to be a man, but then ends up in a weird love triangle… classic Shakespeare, but this version will be modernized with live music by student musicians and a glam rock spin that’s definitely worth a watch. Show begins at 7 pm.

We’re always down for a pop-up cat fair with adoptions, meet and greets with famous internet cats, art, toys, housewares, and apparel for sale. Last year they raised $6,000 for PAWS, and this year they’re trying to raise even more. Event runs 11 am to 7 pm.
