Feed Your Curiosity is a weekly roundup of events in Philadelphia that will broaden your horizons, tantalize your mind, and hopefully sophisticate you into something more than the heathen that you are. Here’s what’s going on this week.
Monday, Feb. 12
This 7 pm event features a lesson on home-brewing beer featuring a batch being made in person. You’re encouraged to bring a type of commercial beer in order to learn more about that beer style.
World Cafe Live
This series holds a weekly open mic contest where the winners of each week enter a monthly contest. Now, the winners of the monthly contests are competing in this annual showcase. Come out support local artists at this 7 pm event.
Tuesday, Feb. 13
Benny the Bum’s
Come out and enjoy dinner while also learning how to paint. The event starts at 7 pm.
Wednesday, Feb. 14
Walnut Street Theater
This play was recently produced on Broadway in 2016 and is now making it’s way to Philly. The show starts at 8 pm and tickets start at $40.
Blue Cross RiverRink
Bring a date (or a friend disguised as a date) and you’ll get a rose, a box of chocolate, and a souvenir picture. The ice skating lasts from 7 to 11 pm.

Punch Line Philly
Come out and laugh away the cringe-inducing vibe of Valentine’s day with this comedy line up. Featuring five comedians, the event starts at 8 pm.
Friday, Feb. 16
The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts
For one night only, PAFA students open up their studios for anyone to view. You can come observe their works in progress. It starts at 5 pm.
Philadelphia Brewing Co.
Once again, let’s laugh romance away with another comedy event. This one features three comedians and runs from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
Saturday, Feb. 17
Institute of Contemporary Art
Celebrating Audre Lorde’s birthday, there will be a series of workshops, teach-ins, and self-care. The event lasts from 4 to 10 pm.
This monthly pop-up series will feature 30 local artists. There will be live music, live art, free wine, and a live painting competition. It starts at 7 pm.
Sunday, Feb. 18
World Cafe Live
Come flaunt your knowledge of The Office at this quizzo event. Teams can consist of 1 to 6 people and it lasts from 2:30 to 10:30 pm.
