Feed Your Curiosity is a weekly roundup of events in Philadelphia that will broaden your horizons, tantalize your mind, and hopefully sophisticate you into something more than the heathen that you are. Here’s what’s going on this week.


Monday, 3.26

Queer Herstory: Voices of the Past, Present and Future

Free Library of Philadelphia


This event is a free lecture sponsored by the Literature Department of the Free Library. It lasts from 7 to 8:30 pm and features a discussion about LGBTQ history.


Tuesday, 3.27

Amuse & Women’s Way

aMuse Philadelphia


This is a celebration of international women’s month. All proceeds benefit Women’s Way and there will be a curated menu of food and cocktails designed by female culinary leaders.


Wednesday, 3.28

Ecstatic Dance Philly: Featuring Nathan Dawley

Trinity Center for Urban Life


Come out and experience a meditation through dance and music. It lasts from 7:30 to 10:30 pm.


A Conversation with Emile Bruneau

The Wharton School – Huntsman Hall


Dr. Bruneau is the director of Peace and Conflict Neuroscience Lab at the University of Pennsylvania. He will be discussing the neuroscience and psychology of empathy and conflict as they relate to the refugee crisis.

Cult Classic Thursday: Life of Brian

South Street Cinema


This weekly series features a Monty Python classic about a man who wasn’t really the savior of the world. It lasts from 7 to 10 pm.


Friday, 3.30

Mindfulness at the Museum

Institute of Contemporary Art


This event teaches mindfulness meditation and intention setting to beginners. It starts at noon.


Dancing Again in Love

Pig Iron School


This a combination of spoken word and dance into a choreopoem about black love in resistance to oppression and stereotypes. The show lasts from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.


Saturday, 3.31

House of Black Shops Fundraiser

The Creative Vine


This West Philly recreation center has served as a workplace for local artists over the past year. Come out and support the organization with this fundraiser featuring live shows and vendors. It starts at 3 pm.


Improv Comedy: (In Space) + Rockefeller

Philly Improv Theater


Come out and watch these two comedy improv teams give it their best shot. It starts at 7 pm.


Sunday, 4.1

Noises Off

Walnut Street Theater


Come out and see this local theater’s adaptation of Michael Frayn’s classic 1982 play. It starts at 7 pm.
