Reading Terminal Market
Join fellow Philadelphians for a discussion on race relations in our city. This conversation is as important as ever, and now is your chance to understand the complexities of life in Philly for different people. From 6:30 to 8:30, enjoy free beer, snacks, and nonalcoholic beverages provided by Global Citizen, and get yourselves educated.
Free Library of Philadelphia
If you lova-tha-fresha-mozzarella, this class taught by Alex Jones is perfect for your taste buds. Learn how to make cheese in just a few quick steps, and sample delicious seasonal dishes featuring fresh mozzarella cheese. The event starts at 6 pm, and all materials are included with your ticket purchase.
Punch Line Philly
Think you know The Simpsons? Find out at 8 pm. You can register online with a team, or, if you’re feeling really confident, you can have your own team of one. Honestly that’s the way to go. Even if you don’t win, you’re still the MVP.
From 6 to 10 pm, Morgan’s Pier is hosting an awesome game night featuring classics like Bingo, Quizzo, Baggo, Sporto, Gecko, and the latter two are made up by me but you get the picture. You have the chance to win free drinks people! And, obviously there will be food and drink available for purchase throughout the evening.
Philly Nerd Nite is hosting a space-themed night of fun starting at 7:30 pm. There aren’t too many details yet on what exactly is going to occur with a Frankford Hall full of nerds and an endless supply of beer, but probably go and find out for yourself.
Pennsylvania Convention Center
Come together with over 40,000 members of the Trans, Non-conforming, and Allied communities to learn, share experiences, and support members of the Philly collective. Another incredible educational opportunity to broaden your mind and probably your friend group. The event is running from 7 to 10 pm.
Lightbox Film Center
The BlackStar Film Festival is running until August 5, and you should be able to make at least one film they are showing in the 48 hours of film they’ve got. All films were made by incredible Black filmmakers from around the world. The festival runs each day from 11 am to 11 pm.

Independence Seaport Museum
Starting at 6 pm, get an exclusive look at the newest exhibit coming to the Independence Seaport Museum. After that, enjoy a 90 minute cruise with endless drinks, snacks, and music to celebrate the fact that you are SO much more cultured than your friends.

Good Good Comedy Theatre
At 8:30 pm, join a psychological professional as they analyze a lineup of comedians based on their performances. This could either be really funny really emotionally intense. Either way, it’s BYOB. They’ve got you covered.
Wind down this Saturday evening with a kayak tour of the Schuylkill Banks. The tours begin at 5:45, but you have to sign up for a time slot online to guarantee your place. Don’t fall in!
South Philadelphia High School
This event will highlight the incredible women of Philadelphia and celebrate their contributions to our city and our lives. From 7 to 11 pm, there will be art, performance, and free food. Plus, if you RSVP online, you get a free drink.
North 2nd Street
Philly’s biggest block party is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. Party on the streets of Northern Liberties from 12 to 10 pm and enjoy live music, arts and crafts, games, food, and more. Food and drinks are not included, but I’m sure a good time is.
The Victoria Freehouse
This brunch is being held from 12 to 3 pm, and your meal is included in your ticket purchase. Everybody needs brunch on Sundays. Even more than that, everybody needs Philadelphia’s “favorite sweetheart,” Mistor Faranheit. He will be in attendance.
