The BlackStar Film Festival is running until August 5, and you should be able to make at least one film they are showing in the 48 hours of film they’ve got. All films were made by incredible Black filmmakers from around the world. The festival runs each day from 11 am to 11 pm.

Starting at 6 pm, get an exclusive look at the newest exhibit coming to the Independence Seaport Museum. After that, enjoy a 90 minute cruise with endless drinks, snacks, and music to celebrate the fact that you are SO much more cultured than your friends.

This event will highlight the incredible women of Philadelphia and celebrate their contributions to our city and our lives. From 7 to 11 pm, there will be art, performance, and free food. Plus, if you RSVP online, you get a free drink.

Philly’s biggest block party is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. Party on the streets of Northern Liberties from 12 to 10 pm and enjoy live music, arts and crafts, games, food, and more. Food and drinks are not included, but I’m sure a good time is.
