If you’re reading this, that probably means one of three things:
A.) You’re interested in Philly Views.
B.) You’re interested in parties.
C.) You’re interested in both Philly Views and parties.
All of those things are great, because Philly Views is having a party.
It’s not just any party. It’s a launch party.
We’ll be hosting readers, supporters, well-wishers, movers, shakers, influencers, and you, if you’d kindly accept our invitation. Just keep in mind that space is limited, and registration is first-come, first-served.
Here are the details:
Date: October 3
Location: Roy-Pitz Barrel House, 990 Spring Garden St.
Time: 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Incentive: The winning combination of snacks, beer, and Philly Views.
Registration: Click this.
P.S. You’re not registered until you see this:
We chose Roy-Pitz Barrel House because it aligns with some of what we try to do at Philly Views—introduce people to awesome places and things in Philadelphia that may have otherwise been overlooked. This place definitely fits that criteria.
A new addition to Spring Arts, Roy-Pitz is a brewpub housed in an industrial-style building teeming with art and, obviously, beer. It’s located basically right next to Union Transfer.
If you have trouble finding it, here’s what it looks like on a completely unaltered map:
If you register early enough, you’ll be able to snag a free drink ticket and sample one Roy Pitz’s beers on us. We’ll also have some snacks, so you can stave off that post-work hunger.
Why have a launch anyway?
When you create something, and you see it grow into a thing that people engage with regularly, it’s super inspiring.
First, we wanted to say thanks to everyone who has been reading the site over the last few months. Then, we wanted introduce ourselves to new people, in the flesh.
We’re also in the business of bringing people together to meet, chat, and share ideas, which brings us to another cool thing happening with Philly Views.
We launched our membership program.
We rolled this out quietly last week, but the launch party will be the hub for new members. We can answer any and all questions you have about the program in-person.
There’s a whole bunch of details on the actual members page, so I’ll keep this short.
If you become a member, you get access to a bunch of cool stuff you wouldn’t have access to as a nonmember.
We’re not putting our site behind a paywall for nonmembers or anything. Membership just gets you access to more content, more engagement, some swag, members events, and some other awesome stuff. It’s all outlined on the page, so go read it.
Something else to keep in mind: memberships are available for both individuals and businesses. And, if you attend the launch event, you’ll be able to sign up at a discounted rate.
So just to recap.
Register for our launch event on October 3, and get a free drink at Roy-Pitz Barrel House.
Check out the members page, and see if it’s something you’re interested in.
Keep an eye on Philly Views as we continue to grow.
Sound good? Good.
See y’all at the launch party.
